Start With How You Actually Use the Property
The right setup depends on the pattern of use:
- Weekends and summers only: you want something you can start and stop easily without paying for months you aren’t there.
- Year-round or working remotely: you need a stable, fixed setup with enough headroom for several people.
- Rental or guest-heavy property: you need reliable coverage across the main cottage and any guest cabin.
Choosing a Plan for a Seasonal Property

Trees, Rock and Water: Mounting at the Cottage
Cottage properties are often heavily treed, and the dish needs a clear sky. A ground-level dish in the clearing is the classic cause of dropouts. Power
